How To Apply Online
You can apply online through two official portals:
NSDL (Protection): https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html
UTIITSL: https://www.pan.utiitsl.com/
Steps:
1. Visit one of the portals mentioned above.
2. Choose new PAN (Form 49A for Indian citizens, Form 49AA for foreigners).
3. Fill in details like name, date of birth, address and Aadhaar number.
4. Upload scanned documents (identity proof, address and date of birth).
5. Pay the application fee (₹93 + GST for Indian address, more for foreign address).
6. Submit the form and note down the acknowledgement number.
7. If Aadhaar is linked, you can use e-sign with OTP, else you will have to send the signed documents by post.
You can track the status later with the acknowledgement number.
